What causes an avalanche?
An avalanche is caused by a layer of loosely packed snow getting disturbed, leading the layer of snow to slide down the mountain causing a big cloud of white snow.
WHAT SETS OFF AN Avalanche?
A lot of things can set off an Avalanche. The things that set it off are natural or human causes like snow or rain, a warming of the temperature, wind, ice falling or rock falling and skiers and snowmobiles. 90% of Avalanches are caused by the weight of one human. in other words, the pressure of human movement can cause the layer of snow to loosen causing an Avalanche. Avalanches can not be caused by human voices.
